Avenged Sevenfold’s Live In The LBC album features one DVD and one album, Diamonds in the Rough. The DVD was filmed at their hometown, Long Beach, California, during the Rockstar Taste Of Chaos tour earlier in 2009. The DVD features a full live show at the Long Beach Arena in California as well as a fair range of extras, such as backstage footage. The setlist was powerful, containing songs such as: Critical Acclaim, Afterlife, Bat Country, Second Heartbeat, Almost Easy, Seize the Day, and Unholy Confessions. For their encore, A7X came back on stage with confetti to complete the concert with A Little Piece of Heaven.

However, the CD portion, Diamonds in the Rough, contains both new and remade songs. The track list consists of: Demons, Girl I Know, Crossroads, Flash of the Blade, Until the End, Tension, Walk, The Fight, Dancing Dead, a remake of Almost Easy, and an alternate version of Afterlife. While the CD contains a few hit songs, it is primarily made up of singles and remakes of older songs.

Synyster Gates and Zacky Vengance really improved in this album. The riffs are awesome and in your face, and the solos are mind blowing! “Girl I Know” is probably the best song on the album, with “Demons” and “Crossroads” as close followers. However, this CD has a more hard rock feel to it, compared to it’s last self-titled album, which had a more metal feel to it. Also, this CD wasn’t well advertised and didn’t explain what was featured in the case. When rating this album compared to the rest, it is actually one of the better ones, with extremely catchy lyrics.
